Feminism can be uncomfortable, but ignoring problems solves nothing. I'm Ellery, and the world is the room. Buckle down, baby.
Who are you? I'm Ellery: a screenwriting student at Chapman University, a feminist, and a lover of paper-bag waist pants. What are your pronouns? She/her/hers and they/them/theirs What are you like? I like to think I'm fun and witty! Unfortunately, I'm also the most stubborn person I've met. And I won't budge on that. Anything else? I have a pit bull mutt named Tiger Lily, and I love her so much. She's extremely photogenic and has little freckles on her nose!
What is this for? This blog was created as part of a rhetoric class. I plan on keeping it after the fact as a place to spill words I feel like sharing occasionally. However, posting will be much more infrequent when the course ends.
Why should I care? If you think extended musings on art, activism, and the links between them are cool or interesting, pull up a chair and stay awhile! Flowery language and Dickensian sentence structure are just bonuses.
Any disclaimers? Although I aim to be informative, these posts are, at their heart, blog posts. My writing is heavily biased and I have no expertise on any of my subjects unless stated. I have done research when writing my pieces and linked resources at the end of each post, but I cannot promise complete factuality or flawlessness. My perspective is limited and privileged. Please lend me some grace. I will address any shortcomings found by you or me to the best of my ability. I ask that you allow me to grow.
